Communication is the act of interchanging ideas, thoughts and information, but the most essential part of communicating in another language is speaking.

In my ESL class attention is placed on improving the student's pronunciation, listening comprehension, increasing vocabulary, gaining the confidence to speak openly and learning about American culture and society.

With more than 16 years experience teaching English as a second language in Tokyo, Japan from 1981 to 1997. I have taught at most of the top Japanese Corporations (Eikaiwa) as well as junior and senior high schools, and at all levels; beginning, intermediate and advanced. I have been teaching ESL classes for the Silicon Valley (Stanford, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale & San Jose areas) for more than 7 years to many different nationalities.

Private ESL classes are held at my home in Cupertino Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm, and some evening classes on request.
